The Slovak Green Building Council (SKGBC) is the main ambassador of sustainable constructions in Slovakia.
Economical, ecological and aesthetic buildings with healthy interiors, not wasting energy and other resources, becoming the standard in Slovakia.
We implement ecological, economical, and social aspects of sustainable constructions, education, and networking for experts and general public, and establish specialised dialogue on sustainable constructions.
Making sure all new and reconstructed old buildings are erected using standards of sustainability, reducing energy consumption, eliminating the impact of buildings to the environment, and minimising the carbon footprint.
We are leading the transformation to sustainable and decarbonised built environments in Slovakia. The Slovak Green Building Council was founded in November 2010 as a non-profit civic association. The organisation has become a renowned and well-known organisation with the support of an international network during last years. The supreme body of the SKGBC is the Assembly of Members, which elects the Board. The executive body of the organisation is the Secretariat, headed by the Executive Director, who is being appointed by the Board.

We are the largest and most diverse network accelerating sustainability in the built environment in Slovakia.
This membership is for legal entities. Regular members may participate in all activities of the council. They have a voting right and company representatives may seek election to the council bodies. All regular members have the same voting rights (one vote per member).
The exclusive membership is for legal companies interested in exclusive cooperation and higher visibility at the council’s activities. Exclusive members enjoy individual approach and additional individual benefits.
This membership is for education and scientific institutions, non-profit organisations and subjects who are not businesses. They do not have a right to vote and to seek election into the council board at specialised seminars and active participation in activities and projects, as well as working groups.
